*ADC CONDEMNS FLOOD DISASTER IN OSHODI, CALLS FOR URGENT ACTION*
The African Democratic Congress condemns the devastating flood that ravaged Oshodi yesterday, June 28, 2026.
We commiserate with residents, traders, and families whose homes, shops, and livelihoods were destroyed. No Nigerian should lose property and peace of mind due to poor drainage, blocked canals, and lack of proactive flood control.
ADC calls on Lagos State Government , the Local Government Chairman and LASEMA to:
1. Provide immediate relief to victims
2. Intensify desilting and drainage works ahead of peak rains
3. Enforce laws against dumping refuse in gutters
Oshodi is the gateway to Lagos. It deserves better planning and protection.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected. Lagos must act now, and Particularly the Oshodi Chairman MUST ACT NOW!
